Kelsey Chambers

Kelsey Chambers returned to her alma mater in January 2020 as the Head Cross Country and Track & Field Athletic Trainer, overseeing a second full time athletic trainer for Track & Field and a Graduate Assistant athletic trainer for Cross Country. During her tenure, she has served as a preceptor for the Master’s Professional Athletic Training program at USC and is the drug testing coordinator for the women’s athletic teams. She also is an elected representative of the University of ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵ Staff Senate representing the Athletic Department.

Prior to her return to ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵ, Kelsey served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Cross Country and Track & Field at Georgia Tech from August 2018 to December 2019. She spent the 2017-2018 academic year at Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina covering all sports and was promoted to Interim Assistant Athletic Director of ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵ Medicine. She also spent two years in New York at St. John’s University covering Volleyball, Cross Country and Track & Field from 2015-2017.

Kelsey is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵ Athletic Trainers’ Association. She has performed Trigger Point Dry Needling through Myopain Seminars (DN-II) since 2019. She is Graston (Level 1) certified and an American Red Cross CPR, AED & First Aid Instructor.

Kelsey earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from Stony Brook University in 2013. While at Stony Brook, she was a member of the Swimming & Diving team and had clinical rotations with Football, Cross Country, Tennis, Women’s Basketball, and Miller Place High School Athletics. While serving as a Graduate Assistant at University of ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵ, she earned her Master’s Degree in Physical Education with emphasis in Athletic Training in 2015. She worked primarily with Beach Volleyball, Calhoun Academy Athletics and the Columbia City Ballet.

A native of Chicago, IL, Kelsey resides in Columbia with her husband, Chase.
